Jirisan - hiking from Baekmudong to Cheonwangbong

On January 31, I embarked on a 2 day, 1 night trip to Jirisan. I had been to Jirisan just once before - to Baemsagol, which is a famous valley in Jirisan, but had only been there for a few hours. I was off for winter vacation for about a month, and had dedicated a lot of January to exploring various peaks in Korea and gaining confidence in hiking. So, I felt ready and excited for my trip to Jirisan.

Visiting Naesosa (Naesosa Temple) - at Byeonsanbando National Park

I visited Naesosa, which is located in Byeonsanbando National Park. This is in southwest Korea, near the ocean. To get there, I took a bus from Jeonju to Buan Bus Terminal. Then, I took a taxi from Buan Bus Terminal to Naesosa Temple. The tax fare was about 25,000 won. Here is the entrance of the park, where I stopped at the visitor center and got a map and a few postcards.
